Office Manager/Marketing Coordinator Lani Bower supervises, coordinates and organizes all efforts and activities and oversees all office programs and operations. She also implements and coordinates Martin’s marketing strategies, programs and communications. Bower joined R.W. Martin in 1997 as a front desk receptionist. Within a few years she had worked her away up to an administrative assistant position working with the inside sales team. She has successfully coordinated operations for the company’s PartsPLUS and SignatureSERVICE customer service groups and now manages the general office. Prior to joining R.W. Martin, she served as the corporate services administrator for a national retail drug chain. A longtime resident of Kent, Lani, her husband, and their two children reside in Sugar Bush Knolls, Ohio.

Shawn Martin provides the support, encouragement, motivation and example for the R.W. Martin team. With over 29 years of industry experience, he is responsible for the organization's leadership and progress to ensure continued growth and success. Upon graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. in business administration and an emphasis on accounting, he began his career in 1980 at the company his father founded 13 years earlier in 1967. As Vice President, he developed business in all market segments relying on his father's vision of customer acquisition and retention. He was appointed President and Director in 1987 to eventually succeed his father as Chairman and C.E.O. in 1997. Today, Shawn continues to lead the Martin team in providing confidence to clients nationwide so they can make strong decisions and take necessary action in their businesses. "It's not just about providing solutions with our products and services anymore. We're in the business of creating value for others. We help our clients provide direction for their customers; give them confidence that they can count on us to reinforce their strengths; and provide them with capabilities that they need to take advantage of their opportunities." Most recently, Shawn served on the Textile Care Allied Trades Association Board, is an active member of T.R.S.A., and supports the local community with memberships in Kent Area Chamber of Commerce and Kent Historical Society. He resides in Kent with his wife Susan.

Becky Wise began her position as receptionist on July 24, 2006. She provides open lines of communication with customers, vendors and office staff. In addition to general office duties, Becky assists Office Manager Lani Bower with parts invoicing, posting receivables, statements, and reconciling payable accounts. Becky has worked as a department head in accounts receivable for a medical company and has worked in receivables and payables for the past seven years. She graduated from the University of Akron in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in medical assistance. She enjoys biking, running and downhill skiing, and has participated in the Cleveland Rite Aid 10-K. She and her husband Ross reside in Stow, Ohio. They have two children and one granddaughter.

Although Darla Kiko is one of the most recently hired staff members, she is certainly not new to the Martin team. Kiko, has worked of and on for several years performing office receptionist, as well as, shipping and receiving duties. Kiko, who has grown up as part of the Martin family, with her father, Ken Kimak, being a part of the business from the beginning, says, “My whole life has been this place, so technically, I have 27 years experience.” Kiko has run the Shaker Heights Learn-to-Skate program in 2001 and in 2004, and co-directed the Center Ice Learn-to-Skate program in Canton. She continues to teach private skating lessons. As a parts specialist, Darla is involved in customer service operations, responsible for helping customers and working with suppliers processing and handling orders. Kiko, who grew up in Kent, attended John Carroll University, graduating in 2002 with a B.A. in physical education, fitness concentration. She and her husband Brian currently resides in nearby Stow, Ohio.

Kenneth P. Kimak, Vice-President of Customer Relations can remember when the Company employed just a few people, and the “parts department” was a secretary who answered parts questions in her spare time. Ken came to R.W. Martin fresh out of Kent State University to be the Company’s first service technician. That was 1969. Kimak recently celebrated 40 years with our company. Over the years, Ken has actively supervised the Company’s field service team, including equipment installations and machinery rebuilding work. In 1990, Kimak was named Vice President to officially head Martin’s customer service operations. Since 2003, Ken actively serves as a director on the Corporation’s board. Drawing from his 40+ years of technical expertise, Kimak currently serves as Vice President of Customer Relations providing the needed leadership and support to our customer service operations. Ken and Bobbi, his wife, are longtime residents of Kent.

Ida Lattimer began her career with R.W. Martin in February of 1988 in shipping and receiving. Slowly she began taking on more responsibility by taking more orders and purchasing parts. In 1998, having built a strong rapport with many of Martin’s customers, she moved from shipping and receiving into parts. As a “Parts Specialist,” Lattimer began concentrating on customer service. Lattimer is now responsible for helping customers find the parts they need to keep their machines running smoothly. She and her husband Bob have three adult children and three grandchildren. They reside in Charlestown.

Chip Ottman joined R.W. Martin in 2005 as an inside sales account manager. Based in Kent, he is responsible for customer relationships and business development in key markets representing Martin’s O-zone Solutions, Stoneman and allied products and services. He establishes strong lines of communications while and seeks opportunities to provide customers with Martin’s business solutions. With over 14 years of experience in capital equipment sales and industrial manufacturing, he came to R.W. Martin from a leading manufacturer of continuous processing ovens and machinery where his responsibilities included managing product line sales for the plastics and continuous processing industries. Chip graduated from Wittenberg University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He enjoys boating, golfing and playing drums and percussion. He and his wife Alison live in Stow, Ohio with their two daughters.

Frank Langer joined R.W. Martin in 1985 as a field service representative. After three years in the business, he began selling new equipment throughout Eastern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia. Four years later he accepted an inside sales position and successfully promoted late model pre-owned and rebuilt equipment. Instrumental in the launch of Martin’s Stoneman24-7.com web site, Langer plays a strong role in the continued success of the Stoneman on-line catalog. As a result of the company making an organizational transformation in early 2006, Frank was recognized for his achievements with a promotion to Stoneman Sr. Account Manager. He graduated from the Josephinum Seminary in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and History. Frank is active in his church where he is involved with the youth program and has worked with youth for the past 20 years. In keeping up to date with his professional skills, Langer has completed courses with Dale Carnegie and Miller-Heiman, as well as attending the Strategic Coach Team Program. He and his wife Deanna reside in North Canton, Ohio with their two children.

Tom Foist joined R.W. Martin in 2004 as a skilled field service technician. He assists with R.W. Martin’s customer support services, particularly field service, warehouse and shop operations. With over 30 years of experience in the maintenance field and electrical trade industry, Foist began his career in a maintenance electrical repair organization where his responsibilities included troubleshooting, installations, estimating, scheduling and supervising projects. Prior to this position he was affiliated with an industrial motor repair company in Columbus, Indiana for 15 years and also served as a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years. Foist has a distinct talent for finding information in order to create a quality solution. His proven experience in all types of electric motor repair and project management makes him an integral member of the SignatureSERVICE staff. He resides in Austintown, Ohio.

In 1997 Matt West joined R.W. Martin as a service technician after working as a rides mechanic at Geauga Lake. West graduated in 1996 from Maplewood Vocational School in Ravenna where he studied to become an electrician. He is responsible for repairs, rebuilds, electrical wiring, inverter conversions and electrical trouble-shooting. When he’s not at work he is helping his family farm with the livestock and crops on their 100-acre farm. West and his wife Shannon reside in nearby Mantua.

Denny Yonker began working at R.W. Martin in 1983. His 24 years of experience encompasses machinery rigging and installation, heavy machinery repair, product maintenance, in-service training, and excellent trouble-shooting ability. In addition to electrical schooling, Yonker has trained with G.A. Braun. His strength is his experience in on-site project superintendence. He is accustomed to working closely with customers and engineers, maintaining scheduling, overseeing on-time deliveries and coordinating multiple trades. Yonker has more than 12 years experience coordinating projects in excess of $18 million combined. His professional experience in project coordination is invaluable to R.W. Martin. His resume includes complete plant installations such as VA Medical Center laundry renovations in PA, NM, WI and CO. Yonker is an active member of the Christian Life Center where he also works as a sound technician. He and his wife Debbie reside in Kent, Ohio.
