R.W. Martin Appoints General Manager

KENT, OH – (Sept. 19, 2008)  R.W. Martin & Sons, Inc., today announced the promotion of Chip Ottman to General Manager.  Ottman will have the general management responsibility of the sales and operations of the business. “Chip has been a key part of our success, and we were thrilled to promote him to this important position,” said Shawn Martin, President.  “Today’s promotion is a result of the respect Chip has earned from his peers, our customers and business partners, and his significant contributions to the organization." Ottman joined Martin in 2005 as Inside Sales Account Manager responsible for customer relationships and business development in key markets representing Martin’s Stoneman pre-owned machinery, O-zone Solutions, and allied products and services.  He quickly rose to Operations Manager. Ottman brings with him over 17 years of experience in capital equipment sales and industrial manufacturing.  Chip came to Martin from a leading manufacturer of continuous processing ovens and machinery where his responsibilities included managing product line sales for the plastics and continuous processing industries.  He holds a B.A. degree in business administration from Wittenberg University. R. W. Martin & Sons, Inc. specializes in buying, selling and remanufacturing single pieces of industrial machinery,  complete processing lines, and entire plants.
