LAUNDRY TODAY (Mar '09) - R.W. Martin's powerful new, interactive Web site at www.rwmartin.com accurately reflects the company's motto - credibility.
"We have always insisted that our Web site is our word," says Lani Bower, office manager. "Our site is a direct reflection of our business philosophy - the site is simple and straightforward, and so is doing business with R.W. Martin."
The company has provided quality products representing over 25 industry manufacturers to the commercial, industrial, and institutional textile industries for over 40 years. Their wedsite demonstrates this impressive history while remaining cutting-edge in terms of catering to today's customers.
"We appreciate that our customers' time is valuable so we give them the information they're looking for," says Bower. "The new site is much more user friendily, there are many more options to get additional information, the info is more in-depth and includes technical information."
Perhaps the most critical aspect of maintaining 'credibility' with customers has been managing expectations in regards to their STONEMAN® Pre-Owned Machinery group. Positive customer feedback tells them they have been successfull in this regard.
How do they do it? R.W. Martin maintains an ever-changing inventory list that is available 27/7. Questions may be asked directly of sales reps without having to fill in online forms. All equipment specifications are included on the site as well as 'as-is' pricing. Through the firm's FTP site customers can view video of the equipment as well as an unlimited number of photographs, which takes the quesswork out of browsing. There is also no equipment shown that the company does not have exclusive rights to sell.
The firm is committed to more of the same in the future.
"Improvements to the site will be driven by feedback we receive from our customers," says Bower.
