General Purpose of the Job:

The ideal candidate for this Industrial Machinery Technician job repairs, maintains and tunes industrial machinery including production machinery and finishing equipment for the commercial textile processing industry.

In addition, this team member will meet all seven of the R.W. Martin Core Values to ensure they function as a cooperative member of our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

An R.W. Martin team member is primarily responsible for effectively completing all duties and responsibilities listed below while providing support to their coworkers with the aim of accomplishing the company’s objectives.

• Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls

• Effectively use objective troubleshooting techniques to assess equipment issues and efficiently create a plan for repair

• Execute repair plan correcting all defective components to optimal specifications

• Perform full testing to ensure the cause of operational issues has been addressed and corrected

• Move machinery and equipment and assist in delivery truck loading and unloading

• Organize and maintain workspace to ensure clean, safe workspace for all team members

• Organize and maintain workspace as determined by Shop Manager

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide back-up support for installation and service projects as requested

• Communicate effectively with co-workers through cooperation and encouragement

General Requirements:

• Solid basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical background

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma (or equivalent), several years of work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience is desired

Language, Math and Reasoning Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and operations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Working Conditions:

Safety equipment is required at all times including but not limited to: uniforms, safety eye wear, masks, gloves, respirators, leather shoes or boots, hard hats, fall protection and ear protection.

General working hours are 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as approved by Manager.

Credentials:

• Must possess own hand tools and keep in safe working condition

• Certification in Forklift Operation required (training will be provided)

• Must possess a valid motor vehicle license

• OSHA 10 (and possible 30) Hour Construction Safety Courses (training will be provided

Position: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE/RECEPTIONIST/SALES SUPPORT

General Purpose of Job:

Responsible for managing successful Accounts Receivable, providing sales support as well as support of other administrative functions as determined by the Office Manager.

Essential A/R Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Successfully Manage All Company A/R
Main Activities to include, but not limited to:

Effectively manage company accounts receivable functions to ensure timely, accurate, organized and professional customer billing, collections and negotiations. Including, but not limited to:

• Verifying and posting all invoices and credit memos in a timely manner

• Verifying and posting receipts

• Investigating any discrepancies by obtaining information from sales, customer service, the customer, or warehouse

• Maintain all customer financial records such as invoices, credits, credit applications, tax exempt forms

• Maintaining credit card collection information through PayPal account and reconcile daily/monthly

• Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit line

• Protect R.W. Martin’s value by keeping information confidential

• Produce detailed reports with all AR information for company management to utilize for business decisions

• Maintain various state sales tax updates in customer records as well as system records

• Maintain A/R filing system

2. Successfully Support Sales Staff
Main Activities to include, but not limited to:

• Create equipment proposals

• Create customer job and distribute information to sales and operations

• Progress and final billing

• Ensure proper job costing

• Close out job for final commission

3. Successfully Manage Office Operations
Main Activities to include, but not limited to:

• Always assume full responsibility for assigned work and make every effort to relieve manager of job details whenever possible. Become familiar with all aspects of position, fully understand specific responsibilities and authority. Perform all other duties as assigned

• Manage the telephone system by answering general questions, screening and directing calls, taking detailed messages and checking general voicemail

• Greet visitors to the office and refer them to the appropriate staff member

• Update the welcome board with names of visitors when known in advance

• Open and distribute incoming mail promptly

• Relieve management staff of clerical duties

• Assist in data entry and updates of customer/inventory databases

• Administer postage: stamps, certified mail and scale

• Administer maintenance of copiers and office machines

• Support and assist President and Vice President on projects and/or programs as directed

• Run company errands as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands

The incumbent will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The incumbent will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

Environmental Conditions

The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.

In addition, there are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.

Work Conditions:

General working hours are 40 hours per week. All overtime must be approved by immediate manager.

Position: TRAVELING FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Department: Operations Manager

General Purpose of Job:

To provide proactive, valuable onsite and remote technical service and support to customers in an effort to maintain productive and efficient operations.

This employee’s home base will be out of the home office in the eastern half of the United States. A weekly schedule we be provided detailing scheduled work for the upcoming week. Periodically, ‘short-notice’ trips will be required. Position will:

• Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and repair commercial laundry equipment

• Travel to locations to provide preventative maintenance service and support for long term preventative maintenance contracts

• Provide remote phone and video call support to customers requiring assistance

• Travel to locations to evaluate equipment to potentially purchase for resale

• Frequent travel to company headquarters to provide support for in-house orders and project support

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

• Always provide exceptional customer service and support in an effort to help our customers grow their operations

• Diagnose equipment operational issues and develop a solution that minimizes the customer’s downtime

• Perform electrical/mechanical and troubleshooting both in the field and over the phone

• Must be able to be innovative, proactive and maintain a “customer first” approach to all situations

• Visually inspect, install and test machinery and equipment

• Interview staff and management to gain a full perspective of the issues and ensure we provide the complete solutions

• Develop a plan for repair and expedite all aspects of the project to minimize customer downtime

• Solicit and acknowledge feedback in order to ensure information from the most experienced personnel has been acknowledged and incorporated and the solution

• Provide work orders/reports for customers and company that clearly indicate issues discovered, work performed and follow-up actions required

Capabilities:

• Ability to manage, perform and complete equipment installation projects

• Strong working knowledge of install and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components and systems of commercial laundry equipment

• Troubleshoot and develop plan for completing repairs

• Ability to Inspect equipment and provide assessments recommending work

• Reading electrical mechanical and layout blueprints

• Working knowledge of utility systems within commercial laundries
