Do you have any Nicknames?
Forrest: I think the most popular nickname I have picked up has been along the lines of “Forrest Gump,” although not one I would usually go by, it is still funny to me.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
Forrest: I am lucky in that I have a job that I don’t need exceptional motivation to get myself to work every day, the constant challenges of different machines, along with all of my coworkers make the work environment great. Being able to provide for my wife and daughter while also being kept engaged and stimulated at work is the only motivation I need.
What do you see as your Primary Goal at RWM?
Forrest: My goal here at R.W. Martin is a simple one. I want to be able to troubleshoot and learn the ins and outs of all the different machines that we have as well as increase my technical knowledge but attending different training opportunities as they come up.
What has been your favorite project so far?
Forrest: My favorite project so far has been for our customer in Mexico, that is just now coming to an end. From the actual refurbishment of fourteen dryers, two tunnel washers, two presses, two shuttles, and two conveyor systems to the logistics of figuring out the layout and the loading of the tractor trailers to ship the machines, it has been an exciting challenge.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
Forrest: : One thing that many people don’t know about me is that during the three years I lived in North Carolina while I was in the service I was an avid shark fisherman, catching large nurse, Atlantic black-tip, and sand sharks. The biggest of which was over six feet long. I also recently just went to Europe for the first time which was an amazing experience.
